The 3rd Annual World Maker Faire New York happens on Saturday, September 29 (10 AM to 7 PM) and Sunday, September 30 (10 AM to 6 PM), 2012 at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) in Queens, New York. Make Magazine, the organizers of the event, describe it as a “family fun festival to MAKE, create, learn, invent, CRAFT, recycle, build, think, play & be inspired by celebrating arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology.” It’s a DIY paradise complete with food, performances, vendors and an amazing display of projects from the Maker community. Tickets are available to purchase now and their call for Makers has been extended to August 24, 2012. Laughing Squid is a proud media sponsor for World Maker Faire New York 2012.

“Being back at NYSCI for our third World Maker Faire is incredible,” said Maker-in-Chief, Sherry Huss, of O’Reilly Media’s MAKE division. “The New York area is leading the maker movement. The community is all about innovation and DIY; it’s part of the fabric of the city. And with NYSCI being located in the most diverse county in the nation, it’s a perfect home for World Maker Faire. We are so excited to showcase the amazing projects from the Makers and know attendees will thoroughly enjoy their experience this year.”
