A behind-the-scenes look at the Timbuk2 messenger bag custom manufacturing factory in San Francisco.

Timbuk2 has been making custom bags in San Francisco since 1989. Once a customer places their custom order on timbuk2.com, our manufacturing team in San Francisco starts making their bag immediately. We guarantee all our custom bags will ship 2-3 business days after the order is placed, but we often ship them within 24 hours. Customization is part of what makes Timbuk2 special. Some members of the Timbuk2 manufacturing team have been with us for more than 10 years. They’re all cross-trained so they can work on any machine which makes every day different. They are an incredibly dedicated and skilled team that enable Timbuk2 to run on-demand manufacturing in San Francisco. We’re really proud of what our team makes here in San Francisco and we’re constantly surprised and inspired by the custom bags our customers create.
