Photos: David Warren Memorial Gathering at Playland Not At The Beach

Here are a few photos from last Saturday’s memorial gathering for David Warren at Playland Not At The Beach in El Cerrito. Members of the San Francisco Suicide Club reunited to celebrate the life of Dave Warren, who was one of the original four founders of the organization and a major contributor to San Francisco’s unique culture.

It was my first time visiting Playland-Not-At-The-Beach, which houses an amazing collection of games and artifacts from San Francisco’s legendary Playland at the Beach, which closed in 1972. You should definitely check it out if you are in the area, the extensive Laughing Sal collection alone is worth the trip.
