Diego San, A Robotic Baby Boy That Makes Life-Like Facial Expressions
Diego San is a robotic baby boy who can make eerily life-like facial expressions and react to people around it. High definition cameras in the robot’s eyes allow it to recognize people and expressions, while a baby-inspired A.I. allows the robot to learn from people. The robot was created David Hanson for cognitive A.I. and human-robot interaction research at the University of California, San Diego Machine Perception Laboratory.
