In 2011, we wrote about Tattly Tattoos a gallery of “designy” temporary tattoos that could be purchased online. Now, just in time for the holiday season, Tattly has opened up a fun full-service pop-up temporary tattoo parlor in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
…Tattly Parlor is more than just a store, offering an interactive experience with appointments to ‘sleeve up’ (temporarily) with one of our skilled application artists. (Ask for Hans!) Taking aesthetic cues from the traditional gold glass-gilded signage and interior fit-out of classic tattoo parlors, we have added our own unique flair to the new space, with furnishings including a velvet loveseat, vintage-inspired barber’s chairs, and a sputnik chandelier. The walls of the Parlor are adorned with Tattly flash art and custom wallpaper featuring designs by Brooklyn-based hand-poke tattoo artist Tea Leigh and printed by Flavor Paper.
Information about pricing and appointments can be found on their site.
