‘Serial’ Podcast Launches Second Season Focusing on US Soldier Bowe Bergdahl Who Was Held Captive by the Taliban

Serial, the popular podcast hosted by Sarah Koenig, has launched its second season to focus on the story of United States soldier Bowe Bergdahl who was held captive by the Taliban in Afghanistan for nearly five years. Since his return, Bergdahl has been the subject of congressional investigations, public debate, and there is an ongoing military court case about his actions.

In addition to the audio podcast, the Serial team will be utilizing 3D maps, videos, and other visuals to supplement the second season. The first episode is available now through iTunes, the Serial site, and other popular podcast software. New episodes will be released weekly.
