Clingy Parakeet Follows Her Human Around the House Like a Puppy

A little lineolated parakeet named Olive never lets her human, Heather, out of her sight, following her around the house like a puppy.

If I move to the kitchen, she’s following me to the kitchen. She’s literally glued to me. We are fully together 24/7. If she can’t see me, she’s screaming. She’s a diva.

Olive wasn’t always this clingy; in fact, she was very shy at first.

When I first got her, she was frozen solid for like 2 hours. I kept her out of the cage because I wanted her to adjust to being out. After like a month, she let me pet her, which was a huge step for us. And then after that, she just wanted to be pet 24/7.
