Guitarist Plays Surf Covers of Classic Rock Songs
Guitarist Derek VanScoten, who makes music under the name Cloudchord, plays bouncy surf versions of classic rock songs, particularly those that are bluesy or have darker themes.
Included in his incredible repertoire are Led Zeppelin‘s “Black Dog”, Metallica‘s “Master of Puppets”, Rage Against the Machine‘s “Freedom”, and The Police‘s “Message in a Bottle”. VanScoten also plays a mean surf cover of the Jewish celebratory song “Hava Nagila”.
