The World’s Largest Playable Violin

A World Records Academy record was set in 2010 for the World’s Largest Playable Violin by twelve luthiers from Markneukirchen, Germany, a town “that it is known for high quality brass and string instruments”. The violin is is 4.28 meters tall, 1.45 meters wide, and weighs over 100 kilograms. Guinness World Records has created this short video profiling the record holders and showing them playing the violin. The record will be included in the Guinness World Records 2012 book.
