After 25 1/2 years, the Survival Research Labs shop has moved out of San Francisco, relocating 32 miles north to a new, larger shop in Petaluma. SRL director Mark Pauline mentions four reasons for the move on the SRL blog. Mark is looking for volunteers and interns in the North Bay to help out with the new shop, if interested contact him.

For years we knew that the SRL shop’s days were numbered, so back in 2006 I shot a bunch of photos of the shop, capturing it as it was before the inevitable move.

Here are some more photos of the SRL shop from the San Jose Show After Party (2006), July 4th Party (2006), LA Show After Party (2006) and a BBQ in 2002.

I will miss the mysterious noises coming from the shop while I am at the community garden… Sad to see them go, good they are still around

Wow, I wish they'd been there when I was growing up in West Marin… I guess this is incentive to move back in with my parents!
