OK Go Imagines an Epic Fourth of July Video in Response to Hypothetical Request From President Obama

Los Angeles-based band OK Go imagined an epic Fourth of July video in response to a hypothetical request from President Obama. In this request, Obama wants the band to create a viral hit with a patriotic theme — and money’s no object. So, of course, the band decides to resurrect Jimi Hendrix with a cat head and large breasts. The video was directed by Joe Sabia for Vanity Fair.

President Obama has asked alt-rock band OK Go to create one of their hit viral music videos. The only rules? It has to have a patriotic slant and feature “The Star-Spangled Banner.” In return, the rockers have unlimited funds and unlimited access to produce and create the video.
