Never Go To Work by They Might Be Giants

Here’s the animated music video for “Never Go To Work” from the new They Might Be Giants children’s CD & DVD “Here Come The 123s” (see my previous post).

Speaking of TMBG, John Linnell was recently interviewed by John Del Signore on Gothamist, Kent Brown on Stay Thirsty and Gwynne Watkins on Babble.

If it’s wrong to like a children’s song that much, I don’t want to be right.

I’ve listened to it about six times in a row so far, and I’m cheerfully singing along with every lyric. I rationalize this by saying that it’s not really a children’s song; clearly the “Never go to work” philosophy resonates a lot more deeply with people who actually do work.
