Mr. Peanut (1918), Tony the Tiger (1951), and some 300 other advertising mascots are currently on display in “A World of Characters: Advertising Icons from the Warren Dotz Collection,” an exhibition at the SFO Museum in the San Francisco International Airport through January 4, 2015. The characters are depicted in vintage figurines, promotional items, and other memorabilia from the personal collection of San Francisco-based author and historian Warren Dotz. His collection can also be experienced in a book, What a Character! The book is available on Amazon.
