YO! Home, Transforming Apartment Inspired by Stage Scenery Design

YO! Home is a small experimental apartment that feels many times larger than its 800 square feet thanks to its transformable main room. The “elevator bed” disappears into the ceiling, while a dining and living area pops out of the floor. The apartment’s trick features are inspired by stage scenery design—the apartment’s creator, British entrepreneur Simon Woodroffe, spent 15 years designing stage sets for rock shows.
