Timberline Lodge on Mount HoodAugust 16, 2010Scott Beale We recently visited Timberline Lodge on beautiful Mount Hood near Portland to attend Frank and Rebecca’s wedding. Timberline Lodge was built between 1936 and 1938 as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project during the Great Depression. Fun fact, the outside of the lodge was used for exterior shots in Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 film The Shining.
