St. Stupid's Day Parade 2004

This Friday, April 1st is the high holy day of The First Church of the Last Laugh which means it’s time for the 27th annual Saint Stupid’s Day Parade. Meet at Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco at noon. Dress stupid.

The First Church of the Last Laugh, worlds fastest growing snack religion, 150% less dogma (it’s a lite religion) one holy day a year and april first is it.

You’d think after 26 years we could have gotten it right, but no, we, the one pretty true church, the FIRST CHURCH of the LAST LAUGH, of which you are already a member, need to try again. It’s the sidewalk version this year so bring pennies, socks and old loser lottery tickets for the stations of stupid. Noise makers and costumes befitting the tenor of the times and a deep sense of your own insignifigance. Kick off at noon in the Embarcadero plaza area, then thru the financial district. Free lunch.

Here are some stupid photos I shot in 2004 and 2003. More photos in the FCLL archive.

Later on after the parade, make sure to check out the action-packed, Church of the SubGenius infused St. Stupid’s Day after parade blowout at 12 Galaxies in San Francisco.
