The 9th annual Roadworks, a steamroller printing festival, takes place Saturday, September 22 on Rhode Island Street in San Francisco. During the festival, a 3-ton steamroller will be used as a giant letterpress, printing limited edition 3 foot square linocut prints (you can watch the steamroller at work in this video from Roadworks 2008). The day-long festival will also include letterpress and bookbinding workshops and an array of vendors. Roadworks is presented by the San Francisco Center for the Book.
