Rare Early Space Photographs Including the First-Ever Taken From Space Up for Auction

A series of rare early space photographs are part of a collection titled “From the Earth to the Moon: Vintage NASA Photographs of the First Voyages Beyond Our Home Planet” being auctioned off by Mallett Antiques. The collection includes the first-ever photo taken from space by a V-2 rocket in 1946.

Other photos show astronauts on missions including the first spacewalk during Gemini 4, the Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 Moon landings, and many more from the first decades of crewed spaceflight.
