Last week Laughing Squid moved its offices to our new headquarters in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. Potrero Hill is known for its excellent views of downtown, great weather and off-the-beaten-path appeal. It is home to some of our favorite places like Farley’s, Goat Hill Pizza, Hazel's Kitchen, Bottom of the Hill, Thee Parkside and Anchor Brewing.
An excellent source of information for Potrero Hill is the recently launched neighborhood blog Potrero Hill, San Francisco (phsf), which features, in addition to a regularly updated blog, a message board, mailing list and even a crime map. We hope to have Mike from phsf be a part of our “neighborhood blogging” panel at Webzine 2005.
Another Potrero Hill favorite is Walk-In Movies, which was originally started by our friend BJ Heinley and is now in its 5th season. It’s like a drive-in, but without the cars, where films are projected on the outside wall of a building on the corner of 18th and Rhode Island Streets. Admission is always free. Here’s a write-up of a recent screening of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” by Jason Schupp for Metroblogging San Francisco.
