Inside Llewyn Davis is the new upcoming dramatic film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen which “tells the story of a singer-songwriter who navigates New York’s folk music scene in the 1960s.” The film stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Justin Timberlake and is “loosely based on Dave Van Ronk’s posthumously published (2005) memoir The Mayor of MacDougal Street.” In January, Joel Coen was interviewed in The New York Times about the film. It will open in theaters in December 2013 (trailer).
