David Blaine Repeatedly Gets Shot in the Stomach to Prepare for His Death Defying Bullet Catch Trick

Rolling Stone shared footage of illusionist David Blaine preparing for his death defying bullet catch trick, which aired during his new David Blaine: Beyond Magic television special last night on ABC, by having a man shoot him in the stomach with different caliber handguns. For the prep, Blaine wore a thin bullet proof vest just so that he could see what it would feel like. He then went on to talk about the history of the bullet catch trick, originally attempted by Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin in 1856.
