BunnyEars.tv, A Collection of Offbeat and Foreign Children’s Shows

Canadian web-based TV station, BunnyEars.tv, shows an eclectic collection of great ad-free children’s shows from around the world from places like Latvia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Canada, France, and more. Judy Blumstock, BunnyEars.tv’s founder and owner, explains that they “license all material properly and are thus able to show high quality, full-length episodes of programs”. I’m going to go out on a limb to say that this retro-looking site may be just as much fun for adults too.

I quickly flipped through their channels a bit today and found some real gems (and there are lots more where they came from):

Chez Helene aired on Canada’s CBC Television between 1958 and 1973 and helped generations of Canadian children to speak French.

The Rabbit with Checkered Ears, a Hungarian classic from the 70s, features a little rabbit who whirls around using his ears like a helicopter and always saves the day.
