After attending the 2010 Shanghai Biennale Exhibition and being inspired by an architectural project called “City’s Egg”, 24 year old Beijing resident Dai Haifei constructed his own $964 egg-like living space. The high priced rentals all through Beijing did not suit this newly graduated architect’s taste. He may suffer cold nights now and again, but he is close to work and has his bare essentials.
