Designers Dawn Thomas and Robert van de Walle of human-powered vehicle studio Three Feet of Air are challenging entrepreneur Elon Musk to an amphibious race pitting the studio’s Safari Trike against the James Bond Lotus Esprit submarine car that Musk purchased last year. The race, scheduled for November 8, 2014, will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area, beginning in Alameda and ending in Oakland. There’s no word on whether Musk will be in attendance.
