In a post on Medium, writer Rex Sorgatz shared a possible look at a TV channel guide from the near future now that companies like NBCUniversal, Fox, and Disney have invested heavily in online media. The channel guide features possible shows from channels like BuzzFeed, Uber, and The Awl.
And what will these web properties do with it all? Probably spend it on getting more Facebook Likes. But also, many of them will be creating their own cable channels. This seems inevitable, because that’s where real money is minted today.
