An intense video posted by ABC News Australia captures the sport of FPV (first-person-view) drone racing in which competitors race custom-built multi-rotor drones while wearing special goggles that give them a drone’s-eye view of the action. This particular race happened in an abandoned warehouse in Melbourne, Australia.
FPV drone racing is considered a growing sport in Australia, and there is also a US National Drone Championships being during the California Expo and State Fair from July 15 to July 17, 2015.
