LOLcats in The Wall Street Journal

Back in June I spoke with Aaron Rutkoff about a story he was witting about LOLcats for the Wall Street Journal. I thought, now this is going to be hilarious, The Wall Street Journal attempting to explain LOLcats to the corporate world. Well, the article was published in today’s Wall Street Journal Online in Aaron’s “Time Waster” column: “With ‘LOLcats’ Internet Fad, Anyone Can Get In on the Joke”

I Can Has Cheezburger

In the article, Aaron interviews Eric Nakagawa, the computer programmer living in Hawaii who started the LOLcat clearinghouse I Can Has Cheezburger and he also talked to veteran blogger Anil Dash, who wrote the great “Cats Can Has Grammar” essay on LOLcats back in April. The WSJ article also links to my LOL roundup post: “Roll Your Own LOL, Not Just For Cats Anymore”.
