2nd Annual World Maker Faire New York at the New York Hall of Science
The 2nd Annual World Maker Faire New York, a family friendly DIY festival, happens right around the corner on September 17 and 18, 2011 at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, New York. The event’s organizers, Make Magazine describe the festival as a way to help people “MAKE, create, learn, invent, CRAFT, recycle, build, think, play & be inspired by celebrating arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology”. It’s a DIY paradise complete with food, performances, vendors and an amazing display of projects from the Maker community.
Our mission…is to unite, inspire, inform, and entertain a growing community of highly imaginative and resourceful people who undertake amazing projects in their backyards, basements, and garages. We call these people “Makers.”
