‘Space Project’, A Collection of Songs Created Using Sounds From Space

Space Project

Space Project is a collection of 14 songs from Portland-based Lefse Records featuring different artists using sounds from space in their respective recordings. For example, “Worms” by Youth Lagoon uses noises from the rings of Uranus. The sounds used were taken from electromagnetic radiation fluctuation recordings made by NASA’s Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space probes. Space Project was released on April 19th as part of Record Store day and is available on vinyl, CD, and as a 7″ box set.
