The PROBA2 Satellite Captures Extreme Ultraviolet Images of a Total Solar Eclipse

Total Solar Eclipse 2015

PROBA2, a mini-satellite operated by the European Space Agency, recorded today’s total solar eclipse from its vantage point in low earth orbit. The images were captured by the satellite’s SWAP imager, an instrument for recording extreme ultraviolet images of the sun. The total solar eclipse was also pretty impressive as seen from earth.
