Pork and Beans by Weezer, A Mashup of Internet Memes

by Scott Beale on May 23, 2008 · 8 comments

The music video for “Pork and Beans” by Weezer is an awesome mashup of popular internet memes. The song is from their new “Red Album” which is coming out on June 3rd. I think we should invite Weezer to perform at the next ROFLCon.

UPDATE: Over on Valleywag, Nicholas Carlson rounds up all of the YouTube videos referenced in the Pork and Beens video.

This is terrific. I wonder if they considered including the OK GO guys on treadmills in this? That would have been awesome.

Just saw this an hour ago. It’s spreading like wildfire through the tubes.

I love this so very much. I love how they recreated the sets of the original videos. There were a couple of memes I didn’t recognize… I must be slacking. Or slacking at slacking.

Great video, even though the Potter Puppet Pals didn’t make it in.
