“Pigeon: Impossible”, a marvelous CG animated short by Lucas Martell. This was Lucas’ first attempt at animation, taking him 5 years to create the film.
A rookie secret agent is faced with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.

Very funny and cool creation this one was. Just posted this link on my facebook account, hope it is fine with you. Thanks!
Fantastic!
That was amazing, and as an aspiring animator who is about to finish his first short (Which is nowhere near this) it’s pretty intimidating. Although at least the credits showed me he wasn’t working alone.
DAMN. Give this guy a gig as a PIXAR director, quicksmart.
The most fun I’ve had with any 6 minutes and 14 seconds all day!
You’ve got talent…use it for good, and His Glory.
If that is the most fun you have had all day, I have a suprise waiting for you in 37 days, 14 hours, 57 minutes, and 3 seconds.
Definitely, one heck of a cool pigeon. Disciplined, focused, task-oriented. Above all, fearless!
Holy crap that was good. Agreed—this guy need a job at Pixar.
I agree with the previous posters, this was absolutely fantastic! I wish Mr. Martell the best of luck in his career endeavors!
I’m not easily impressed ‘however comma’ this was Great !
Squid – keep supporting and sharing the good stuff.
Thx !
If you give a pigeon a bagel…
he’ll ask for a mofo’n nuke!
That’s amazing! Excellent work, it definitely does not look like a first attempt at animation. (here via Digg) Good thing I watched it at home, ’cause I laughed loudly when the tail of that rocket crashed.
The pigeon looked entirely too much like Vladmir Putin when it stared over the briefcase at him.
Wow yeah I have to agree fantastic job, the best of luck to you, you really have a future in the animation bussiness.
Love it…………
Simply brilliant and very entertaining.
The only constructive criticism I can give is that, at the end, the viewer’s focus is probably not on the pigeon just before it gets hit my the missile debris. I had to replay that part to confirm my suspicion that the missile head came down on top of the bird. I think my eye was drawn to other stuff going on in the scene (g-man walking away, police cars, Washington Missile Silo/Monument, etc.). Perhaps there’s a way of drawing focus to the pigeon peacefully picking away at the bagel just before the missile hits him.
