Yesterday after the story broke about The EFF suing Michael Crook for sending false DMCA claims, Xeni started reporting about on it at Boing Boing. Within hours, Boing Boing was sent a bogus DMCA claim by Michael Crook. Ha, the irony is priceless.

And just to add to the fun, Fark is now running one of their famous Photoshop contests using the Michael Crook image from the DMCA claim that he sent to Boing Boing.

Unfortunately our court system makes it very easy for warped personalities such as Crook to annoy his enemies for years upon years. Let’s hope he is somehow sucked back into the crack he originally oozed from.

For the first comment. it is true that people who are sued can ignore his ememies but I do believe once a judgement is cast against him, and the SOL is coming near, the person that put the judgement against the other can go back to court and update the judgement saving it from the SOL. All states may be differant so check into it.

I would like to correct my first comment. When I read the first comment I thought annoy read ignore (Yes I know what each word means)

I agree he will still be around annoying people, but I beleive that one day he is going to piss off that one person who is already on edge about something, and Crook will realize he isn’t ‘Untouchable’

Just read about the Michael Crook character. I read more from BoingBoing and opened up the letter he sent.
Well, much to my dismay he lists my home town as his address on the letter.
So I mapped quest the address and the funny thing, while there maybe a street address of 8417 Oswego Rd, last time I drove by (Xmas), there aren’t any apartment buildings there either!
The other sad note, is that he looks like he is from the area! (yep, family love is a good thing…if you like that sorta thing)

So sad….
