Drone Interceptor MP200, A Defensive Drone Carrying a Net Designed to Intercept and Capture Malicious Drones

The Drone Interceptor MP200 is a drone designed by French hardware startup Malou Tech and telecom company Groupe Assmann that carries a net for the sole purpose of intercepting and capturing stray or malicious drones flying where they shouldn’t be, like around nuclear power plants or the homes of political officials. The invention is a relatively simple solution to an issue concerning the growing presence of drones flying in authorized places.

Concerned about a recent spate of mystery drones flying over its nuclear plants, military installations and even the presidential palace, France has asked scientists to help devise ways to counteract the small–and so far harmless–motorized menaces overhead.
