Charles Gatewood

Our good friend Charles Gatewood has been chronicling the sexual underground for over 4 decades, first in New York and later on in San Francisco, where he currently resides. I recently ran into Charles last weekend at APE and picked up a copy of latest book, “Photography For Perverts”, published by Greenery Press. It is an amazing look at Charles’ process and techniques as an erotic photography. It also contains information and resources for those who might want to start taking some perverted photos of their own.

Charles Gatewood has been called “family photographer of America’s erotic underground.” Now, in his sassy, groundbreaking new book, Gatewood shares forty years of experience as one of the world’s best erotic photographers. Chapters include how to meet and work with exotic models, finding tools and techniques to match one’s wildest visions, plus tips on how and where to publish and exhibit explicit photos. Also included are ethical and legal discussions, a guide to fighting censorship, and a large section of kinky resources. The book is heavily illustrated with Gatewood’s mindblowing photographs. If you love taking or viewing kinky photos, this eye-popping book is essential!

“Photography For Perverts” is available directly from the publisher, Greenery Press. Many of Charles Gatewood’s other books, prints and videos can be purchased through his online store. I definitely recommend checking out his extensive documentation of the world of underground sex and erotica.

Hi there

At the moment I am working on a television programme called ‘The Science Of Sex’ that will explore all aspects of sex and sexual relationships with a scientific edge.

I am really keen to get in touch with Michael Decker with regards to the programme. I’ve read some of his material and I think he could make a great contribution to our programme. I’m aware that we was president of ‘The Leather Association’ in Seattle in 1992. Would you be able to help me in reaching him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Niall
