The CarVi is a windshield-mounted device created by a San Jose, California-based hardware startup of the same name that features a built-in dashcam to monitor the road for potential hazards, which it transmits to a smartphone in order to issue a audible warning. CarVi monitors lane changes and potential front-end collisions, while serving as a standard dashcam with video that can be viewed via smartphone. The project is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo.
