In a recent video from the Tested series Adam Savage’s One Day Builds, Adam Savage and friends wire a nearly perfect custom-built captain’s chair from the original Star Trek series, complete with working lights and sounds.
Despite the name of the series, Savage built the chair itself over the course of several weeks after being disappointed with one he purchased online. The wiring of the lights and sounds was intended to only take a day, but due to some technical issues with finicky LEDs, the process took much longer.
