While visiting NYC recently I took a trip over to the headquarters of MakerBot Industries in Brooklyn. MakerBots are 3D printer kits that when assembled create a robot that makes things. MakerBot co-founder Bre Pettis gave me a full tour of the BotCave where make and ship out the MakerBot kits that they sell. Makerbot launched in March 2009 with the debut of their Cupcake Frosting Robot.
While visiting MakerBot Industries, our friend Jason Scott was there doing Scottacon II: The Thankening, a follow-up to the fundraising campaign for his sabbatical.
