If more cats could learn to play the theremin, the world would be a better place.

UPDATE: Oh look, here’s a cat playing with Theremin.

That’s cute, if I had a ton of cat videos with musical instruments, I’d make a lolCats video.

The theremin in this video is a Otona no Kagaku desktop theremin. They look cute as hell, but I’ve never tried one.

BTW, I recently blogged about an episode of Tank Riot that is all about Leon Theremin.

I saw this in my feed without realizing who it was from and said, “I should send this to Scott and Lori!” Heh, heh.

Hello. I was just browsing the webby people’s choice awards deciding who to vote for (yes I have got better things to do, but hey) and I hadn’t visited your site before. The fact the front page has a video of a cat playing a theremin is a Very Good Thing and will influence my vote. :-)

Okay it is just RIDICULOUS how adorable these two are! And that quizzical look on the theremin-player’s face is priceless! Nice find!

Now all we need is a dog playing a MOOG and we have the best Phillip Glass cover band ever!

Oh no!

“We’re sorry, this video is no longer available”

Nice. It seems like the cat on the top video could somehow detect the field that needed to be modified, apart from the sound it made. It made the rubbing motion as if it were a couch corner, rather than a standard reaction to sound (and the direction the sound came from) and instead as if the field were a perceivable entity.

Also kudos on your comment forms, making me enter the data in an unusual pattern when tabbing over them =P heh

I support a cat who definitely prefers the original Doctor Who theme to the current version.

Doesn’t like Daleks…
