The 28th Annual St. Stupid’s Day Parade took place today, April 1st, the one high holy day of The First Church of the Last Laugh. As always, it was a great time and I shot a ton of photos.
Since this year the parade fell on a Saturday, we took the alternate route, starting at the The Transamerica Pyramid, Bishop Joey lead us up Columbus Avenue to North Beach. Along the way, we gave old L. Ron a piece of our mind at new Church of Scientology building and then stopped at one of my favorite places in San Francisco, Caffe Trieste, to wish owner Papa Gianni a happy 50th anniversary (he opened it on April 1st, 1956).
Finally we worked our way to Joe DiMaggio Playground for some music, a visit from The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a sing along with Wavy Gravy, a status report from Frank Chu and then a two minute talent show.
