The Secret Life of the Cat, BBC Program Uses Cat Cams and GPS to Track What 50 Cats Do Outside

The Secret Life of the Cat

The Secret Life of the Cat is a show on BBC Two’s Horizon that tracks the behavior of outdoor cats. In collaboration with the Royal Veterinary College, Horizon equipped 50 cats in Surrey with GPS tracking devices and tiny “cat cams” to learn about their behavior, hunting patterns, and how they interact with one another. Ten of the cats — Ginger, Chip, Sooty, Orlando, Hermie, Phoebe, Deebee, Kato, Coco and Rosie — are currently featured on the BBC’s website, where users can view detailed information on each feline’s travels, behaviors, and personalities, and even watch videos of their activities.
