The Pole House, A Breathtaking Vacation Home Perched on a Column High Above a Beach in Australia

The Pole House is a remarkable vacation home perched on a single column some 130 feet above Fairhaven Beach near Melbourne, Australia. The one-bedroom house is situated on a hillside overlooking the beach and is accessed by a footbridge. The minimalist design of the structure extends to the interior, where sparse furniture is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows (which can be opened.) The Pole House is available for vacation rentals. It was designed by Melbourne-based F2 Architecture.
