The Nerdwriter Breaks Down the Importance of the Ridley Scott Cyberpunk Classic ‘Blade Runner’

In the latest episode of Understanding Art House, Evan “The Nerdwriter” Puschak (previously) takes on the 1982 Ridley Scott film Blade Runner. The adaptation of the Philip K. Dick short story “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep” helped bring the cyberpunk genre to the silver screen.

Blade Runner is my favorite film. Maybe that says something about me. Though the film is beautiful, lyrical and profound objectively (if there is such a thing), I’ve always felt it reflected a personal longing in me, some absence its beauty, poetry and profundity embodied perfectly.
