The Monster Alphabet board book is authored by Darren J. Gendron and illustrated by Obsidian Abnormal, the creative team at webcomics site, Hello With Cheese. Darren recently began a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter to bring this 26-page children’s board book full of “legendary monsters and the alphabet” to press. Each monster has a verse written in iambic pentameter so the “gentle rhythm will help lull young-ones to sleep”. Take a look at all 26 monsters with their special verse here.
When I found out I was going to become a father, I wrote The Monster Alphabet. I wanted a book to read to my son that was filled with nerdy delight, and came up with an alphabet based off the monsters of legend.
