The Junk King, A Student Documentary About the Man Behind Austin’s Cathedral of Junk

Film student Evan Burns directed The Junk King, a short documentary film about Vince Hannemann, aka the ‘Junk King’, of the Cathedral of Junk in Austin, Texas. In 2010, the City of Austin demanded that Vince take down his creation and, while it was partially demolished, supporters helped Vince “keep the Cathedral alive and continue its legacy.”
