The Jolly Roger Telephone Co. is a patient robot that wastes the time of telemarketers on behalf of its operator. When a user receives an unwanted call they simply dial the robot and create a three-way call. The telemarketer then ends up talking to the robot while the human user is free to listen in or do something else entirely.
The Jolly Roger Telephone Co. developer Roger Anderson is raising funds through a Kickstarter campaign to launch the robot as a monthly subscription service. The Jolly Roger Telephone Co. also offers users recordings of their calls. The company has already posted a number of sample calls on their YouTube channel.
