As the East Coast prepares for a major winter snowstorm (“Nemo”), Gothamist has rounded up video and newcasts of the Blizzard of 78, the massive storm that hit the eastern states in early February 1978. “In 1978 we had a blizzard that brought 35-40 inches of snow in CT and Mass. People just abandoned their cars on the roads. The CT & Mass Governors closed all roads in both states for three days to clear them.”
