‘Stop Telling People About Portland,’ A Film Asking Portlanders to Keep Their Mouths Shut About Oregon’s Hippest City

Stop Telling People About Portland” is a short film written by Adam Mack that warns residents of Portland, Oregon against sharing how great their city is and instead to accentuate the negative aspects of life in the Rose City. The narrator’s voice is fittingly reminiscent of the tone of a 1960s filmstrip as he warns that out-of-towners bring strange non-Portland customs, like “using umbrellas in the rain, smoking strange non-American Spirit cigarettes,” and “insisting on using environment-destroying, non-reusable bags.”

Residents of Portland: If you’re worried about overcrowding, you ought to know it’s ALL YOUR FAULT AND STOP IT. Here’s how.
