Samsung Helps Residents of Istanbul Neighborhood Learn Sign Language to Surprise Hearing-Impaired Neighbor

Samsung Turkey and Leo Burnett Istanbul produced “Hearing Hands”, a touching ad for their new video call center for hearing-impaired customers. The ad shows residents of a suburban district of Istanbul learning sign language, planting hidden cameras, and planning the careful timing needed to surprise Muharrem, a hearing-impaired man, as he goes for a walk with his sister. He becomes more and more surprised to see that everyone he encounters speaks sign language, until he’s let in on the project and the participants gather around for lots of smiles.
