Mother New York has launched Repair the Rockaways, an interactive fundraiser for ongoing repairs in Rockaway, New York in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. People can donate money on the site to receive virtual bricks to help construct homes in a virtual representation of the Rockaways, and volunteer group Respond and Rebuild uses the funds to help rebuild actual homes and provide supplies to the area.
